I spoke with Dad today and his surgeon changed his mind and
is going to do some minor surgery on Dad this Wednesday, Jan. 27. Instead of
going in with a needle into the lung, they are now going to make 2 holes and go
in laproscopicaly (sp?) and draw all of that fluid out of the lung and also
look around while they are in there and see what is going on with the lining of
his lung because it has gotten thicker. He'll be in the hospital for 3 days
after that. He will also be talking to the radiologist about setting up
radiation for the 2 nodules in his other lung sometime in the near
future.
