FROM BILL

I missed my Castle family last week and I’m anxious to be with you this Sunday morning. Sermon preview: I would call this Sunday’s sermon my “Signature Sermon”. It’s entitled, “Everybody’s Shot”. My prayer is that there will be something for every one to take away from this message. PLEASE make every effort to be with us Sunday for Worship, Praise, Study, and Sacrament.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

Don't forget to turn your clocks BACK an hour before you go to bed tonight. If you do forget go ahead and start the coffee. We'll be there in an hour or so. See you in the morning.

Prayer request

Dear Castle Christian Church Members and Friends
I am asking you to please say prayers for my best friend ALICE FREEMAN.
She has been ill most of the summer and in the hospital.
Her heart valve has deteriorated beyond repair.
The doctor is setting a date for surgery as soon as possible.

Thank you for your prayers,
Patsy Fitzpatrick

May God always hold you in the palm of his hand.

Important notice

Due to a conflict that Bill cannot avoid, we will be canceling Bible Study this week, but will resume next Wednesday, October 27th.

If you are planning on bringing in jelly for this month's collections, please be sure you purchase the jelly in a plastic container rather than a glass one. Glass does not ship well.

Thanks and see you Sunday!

Website

If you missed the excitement from the last 24 hours or so, our website was compromised or hacked or hijacked or all of the above. Several of the people on this email were working diligently yesterday and into last night trying to resolve the situation. Fortunately, we (not me) were able to make the site inaccessible and that is a very good thing considering where people were able navigate through our site due to the compromise.

Bradley White, the son of Linda from church, graciously offered to help us get a brand new site up and running in fairly quick order. He was a tremendous help last night in trying to shut down our current site. He has quite a bit of experience in this area. We do need one person who would be willing to maintain the site and keep it current. If anyone is willing to serve in that role, please let me know asap. It would be great to get the three of us (Bradley, me, person to maintain site) together so that we can get a good start right out of the gate with a new site. This could turn out to be a good turning point for us in that we can get excited about a refresh and help promote our new site. We all know that the website is the new front door of the church and where people go first to “kick the tires”. Now that this situation is under control that caused us angst yesterday, I’m actually excited about where this could wind up.

Thanks again to all who pitched in to help get this resolved.

Blessings,

Bill
