Sad news

Some of you might remember Don, Bonnie, Garnet and Tyson Sigette from FCC. They now live in Reno, but this week their family has suffered a tremendous loss and they are in need of prayer coverage. Bonnie's niece was found murdered earlier this week and an Amber alert was put out for her two missing children, a 9 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. This family was living in Arkansas. Later that day, the police discovered Bonnie's brother who had also been murdered in his home. Yesterday, they found the body of the 2 year old baby and today the boy's body was found.

Four family members all taken by a senseless act by a deranged person. The police have the niece's boyfriend in custody, but on unrelated charges. That's all the information we have at this time, but as you can imagine this family is suffering from a deep, deep hurt.

Please pray for them as they try to adjust to life after such a tragedy. I know they will appreciate it and have asked for help in this area.

Coming events in this Holy Week

Don't forget the following:

  • Maunday Thursday Service on 4/13 at 7:00 pm in our normal worship location. This is always a very meaningful time as we walk through the week acknowledging our Lord's steps during His last days before His Crucifixion.

  • Cross Walk through downtown Cumming as we recognize His agonizing last day and immeasurable sacrifice. We will begin our journey at 4:00 pm at the Kiwanis Building.

  • Easter Morning Service. Christ the Lord has risen! He has risen, indeed! Our normal worship time and place, but as this day commemorates the most important event in our Christian following you are encouraged to attend.

Prayer needed

From Susan Eichler:

Will you please put Barbara Chapman on the prayer list. She went to Public's after church and tripped on the cement divider. She broke her kneecap. She does not need surgery. They have her in a brace.

Immediate prayer need

Charlie Chapman is in need of prayer at this time. He has developed pneumonia and is not doing well at all. Please pray for him and Barbara. They ask that no visitors come at this time as Charlie needs to remain calm as breathing has become difficult for him. More news will be shared as it becomes available.
