James Introduction
Hello everyone!
Just a reminder that, though Vangie and I will be out of town this Sunday (the 29th), we'll be back for the following Sunday (Jan 5) when we'll be starting our new study of the book of James!
Vangie and I are really excited to start our study with a very special video. On Sunday, January 5, we'll be starting our study by watching a video about a very important archaeological find which some people say is the resting place of James himself! The find is very controversial. However, the video is very informative and will be a really fun and interesting way to introduce ourselves to this very important biblical writer!
So...I really hope as many of us can be at church on the 5th as possible! Not only will it be interesting, but the video will be a great discussion starter and catalyst for a great learning experience in this wonderful little book of the Bible.
I can't wait to get started! See you on January 5!

Coming Up!
Greetings everyone!
The Holidays are definitely upon us. I want to tell you about the next sermon study we're going to be doing.
On Sunday, December 29, Vangie and I will be out of town visiting my kids and my family. We'll be back the first Sunday of January when we'll be starting the book of James!
I think we're all really going to enjoy James' message and his straightforward, honest, and passionate style! James is one of my favorites. I've already heard that many of us have never studied his book. I can't wait to introduce him to you.
I'm very excited to begin this new study! I hope you are excited, too.

Prayer request
Sharon Freeman asked that several of her nurses be place on the prayer list as they have family in the Philippines and, of course, have not been able to get in touch with them. Please remember to pray for all of the people there including these nurses' families.

Lee Lamb's uncle
Lee Lamb's uncle, Dwight Massey, passed away yesterday. He has been on our prayer list for several weeks. Please remember this family as they adjust to life without him. Services will be in Canon, Georgia.

Immediate prayer request
A prayer need from Debbie Whigham:
Please put my youngest brother on our prayer list. His name is Davey
Scaffe, he is 52 years old and married with 2 grown children. He was taken to
Emory in Decatur from his work this afternoon. He had a heart attack. He had a
blockage which they have taken care of and put a stent in. He is in CCU. I am
not sure how long he will be there or how much other damage there may be. They
are watching him for now. Please keep his family, my parents and the rest of our
family in prayer. Thanks!

Agape Sunday and Diapers!!!
Hey everyone,
Don't forget that this Sunday is our Agape Sunday. Please plan to bring a meal to share in fellowship with one another. There will be no sermon, but we will be taking communion together as part of our meal.
ALSO: PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS THE LAST SUNDAY TO BRING DIAPERS FOR HAITI. ALL KINDS OF DIAPERS ARE NEEDED!!!!
