Three Things for This Sunday

Hey everyone,

I have three announcements:

1. Don't forget that this Sunday is the last  Sunday to bring personal care items for families in the area. 

2. Trish has told me that Mikey Earhart is needing a full or queen-size bed.  If anyone has one available, please contact Trish or Mikey.

3. I've asked Vangie if she would preach this Sunday.  I'm looking forward to her message on Acts 3:1-12!

Congratulations!

Our congratulations to Angel as she passed her final exam and in now a full fledged police officer. Way to go, Angel! We knew you could do it.

Prayer Request and a Reminder

REMINDER: Don't forget we are collecting personal hygiene products this month (which is almost over). Some suggestions are deodorant, shampoo, razors, body lotion, nail clippers, etc.

PRAYER REQUEST:  Lori Short's friend, Keith Hyde, has asked for prayer. He will begin new chemo treatment next week and is running out of options. He's asking for a miracle.

Kim and Kurt Baby is HERE!

Pleased to announce that Kim and Kurt had their baby, Lilian at 7:07 this morning.  She weighs 7 lb 8 oz, 20 and 1/2 inches.  Perfectly healthy!

They are in room 201 and will be until Saturday for whoever would like to come visit.  They want to thank everyone for the prayers.

Two invitations for you

June 2, 2012 - Amicalola Falls State Park - 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. You are invited to join Michael and Anne Foster as they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. Lunch will be served at 11:00 am, but if you're unable to make it for lunch you are welcomed to come when you can and share a time of fellowship. They state, "Your presence is your gift to us!" June 16, 2012 -  Sawnee Mountain Perserve - 11:00 am You are invited to join Jason Rodenbeck and Vangie Shaver at their marriage. RSVP - 770-314-5775. They write, "We are looking forward to sharing this special day with our friends and loved ones. We are celebrating simply with a "wedding picnic" at one of our favorite parks. Our ceremony will be in the amphitheater with a picnic to follow in the pavilion. Please dress comfortably - you can even plan to hike the mountain if you'd like - and bring food to share with our family and friends." Also, we're told to bring your own chairs.

Update on Mikey Earhart

For those of you that may not know, Mikey was injured when a tree he and Colby were cutting down twisted and landed on Mikey. He has a serious ankle fracture and will be having surgery tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Please remember Mikey and the Earhart family in your prayers.

Another prayer request

Judy Ware asks for prayer for her cousin, Lamar Smith. He is 88 years old and is having serious stomach problems and is losing weight. He's back in the hospital.
