Latest update from Family Promise

State of the Program

Excitement abounds at Family Promise of Forsyth County, Inc!  We're currently at capacity with  four families totaling twelve people.  Our current family make up includes two single moms, one with one child and one with two children and two couples, one with one child and one with two children.  Adding to the fun, we are hosting babies for the first time!  Our youngest guests are 6 months, one and two years old,  providing lots of joy and snuggles to all our guests and volunteers.

Change also brings excitement as we welcome our new Executive Director, Tina Ferrario Huck.  Tina recently served as interim director before being appointed permanently on July 12.  Prior to becoming a part of the Family Promise staff, Tina served as coordinator of the Family Promise ministry of St. Brendan's Catholic Church.

Surprise

Wow. God just keeps blessing Castle Christian with opportunities. Laura and Ybene Dalla will be joining us this Sunday for worship. They are the missionaries in Haiti that we support and this is his first time to be anywhere outside of Haiti. It promises to be another wonderful worship service as they share their ministry with us.

Let's bombard them with an amazing spread of food for breakfast just as we did for the Beemans last Sunday. We hope everyone can make it to hear these wonderful Christians speak and to meet Ybene.

Just before leaving us the Beemans joked that said they would be back next Sunday. They were very touched by the service and the people.
